We're waiting on the real fun to start next week when Nate is finally out of school. We haven't done too much without him, because Gabe is worried that Nate will feel, "weft out." What a sweetie! We have a completed calendar and Nate is anxious to hang it in his room so he can, in his own words, "be organized and know what's going on...I don't want to sit around all summer!" I honestly have no idea where he gets that! He also requested a workbook so that he could do some 'homework' over the summer so that he'd be ready for 3rd grade (seriously...this kid is unlike any other). I got him one through Gabe's preschool, but they didn't have one for preschoolers...so now I'm on the hunt for that! If Nate is busy with worksheets, I can usually get Gabe to do some work with me, too.
This week we've just been enjoying the warm weather and playing outside. After Nate is out of school, we're going to start his summer break with a trip to a splash pad, a birthday party, planting our garden, building a swing set, attending a family reunion, a few trips to the pool, the zoo, open houses and Adri's 2nd birthday party! Who says summer has to be boring :)

This is our makeshift water slide. We got out our big Banzaii water slide last weekend and the blower was weak. The slide wouldn't stay inflated...so we compromised!
