June Jamboree - 2013
This is the event of the year, according to my kids. As soon as the sign goes up in town the kids start a countdown til the day we visit the June Jamboree! Every time we take them there, I remember the first time that Matt and I visited together...in high school. I convinced Matt to ride several spinning rides in a row, after a K burger, and he lost his dinner in the parking lot of the video store on the way home!
We had a very memorable time, as we do every year, however, I didn't get many pictures. We enjoyed K burgers, ice cream, and an elephant ear, which the family devoured in record time...the kids were like vultures (and maybe their pregnant mother, too)!
By the way, if you ever want to throw away several $20's in record time, visit the June Jamboree!
We've also had several great walks, hikes, picnics and field trips, already this summer. This weekend, we're off to Cincinnati to visit some family. The kids can't hardly wait to play with their cousins!
Happy Birthday, Adri!
Party Day!
My sweet Adrianna Rose...with a button nose :) You have the wit of your father and patience of your mother. Sometimes in the midst of our conversations, I forget I'm talking to a small child. You're vocabulary and sense of the world around you astonishes me, daily. I love your heart and the kindness you show to others. I can't get enough of your smile and that sweet giggle. Happy Birthday, precious girl! May this next year be full of your biggest dreams and best days yet!
Adri's Birthday Day!
She was up with the sun (maybe before the sun) at 4:30, with every gift she had opened at her party spread all over her floor, hair brushed, new dress on, sporting her new sparkly shoes and ready to start her day with candlelit pancakes! Where does she get this energy? Guess I better get used to it...I'm going to be up at that time, probably every day, starting in a few months!
And who says you can't wear pretty shoes and a dress to ride bikes? She wanted to look her best while taking her baby for her first ride in her new baby seat!
This little Houdini melts my heart. She made this sticker page for me as a 'thank you' for letting her be born. She surprised me with it while I was in the shower on Tuesday and hung it on the light switch. I didn't turn the light off all day!
Her birthday activities of choice were a morning at the library, lunch at Fazoli's, movies in the afternoon and then dinner at the rice place (chinese).
Here's to another great year, Sis! Now, please stop growing!
Love you :)
