HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Our kids LOVE stuffed animals! When Gabe was little, he started calling all of his stuffed animals 'his babies.' We know that you can't go wrong with getting our kids new 'babies.' So, for Valentine's Day, that's what they got! Excuse these awful pictures! Our camera is kaput and it may take months for Matt to find one that he feels is a good deal! These were taken with my phone.

Each of the kids got a new 'baby' and a package of candy. The boys also got a coupon book to use for lots of fun stuff...a 3D movie with all you can eat popcorn and a drink, a field trip to anywhere they'd like to go on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, any book of their choice, an edible play doh craft, and a few more.

Adri loved on her new puppy all day and played with it most of the morning. She says he's so "coot."

The most exciting part of getting new stuffed animals is giving them names. Gabe quickly gave his new 'baby' the name Frosty. That's the first time I've ever met a lion named Frosty!

Nate was so excited about his coupon book, he asked to take it to school to share with the class in their morning meeting. After some thought about it at school, he finally decided on a name for his new animal! Ladies and Gentleman, meet one of the newest members of the family, Gerry the Giraffe.

Adri and I had the pleasure of attending Gabe's Valentine's Party at school yesterday. We were witness to cookie decorating and passing out Valentine's. I loved the look on Gabe's face when he handed his Valentine to Mrs. Rayl.

Our favorite babysitter, Elise, came over yesterday afternoon to stay with Gabe and Adri so that I could go to school and help with Nate's party. We had a relay race, painted a heart, and opened Valentines. I'm so glad I get to participate in this stuff!

After Nate's homework was done, he informed me that he had a few things for me, but he needed to get it together first. I usually do a scavenger hunt for the kids for Valentine's Day and Easter, but didn't get it done this time because I figured it would be to stressful to pull it off on a Monday morning! Nate stepped up and made sure that the tradition continued. He made one for me! His clues are above. He handed me the first one, "Where you wach cartoons," and there I found another clue, "In front of Gabe's bed." The next clue, "Behind this way curtons," thew me off a bit. After I figured out that he word said ''curtains," I had to figure out which ones. There are 5 windows in their room! My final clue, "Where I werck," lead me to his desk, where I found a heart shaped card. In case you can't read the poem, let me make it clear for you.

Roses are red. Vilots are blue. Yur feet stanck but I still love you. I love you.

He then handed me another card.

I hope your Valentin day is a blast but i still love you even if your feet stanck.
Where does he get this?

Matt and I spent the weekend together at a marriage conference, so we decided to celebrate with our whole gang this year! He wasn't sure when he'd be home last night so we planned our family Valentine's Dinner for tonight. The kids picked Fazoli's because it's kids night. So, we're off to have spaghetti, breadsticks, and watch a magician!

Happy Day!
