We got to see Santa again last weekend! He made an appearance at Nate's Boy Scout Troop's Christmas Party. He had presents for all...even little brothers and sisters! This is one the things I really love about Boy Scouts. Even the outings and activities that are for the troop members, family is still encouraged to attend and there's always something for all the kids...even the little ones! I really love that they encourage so much family time...who doesn't want more of that?
They encourage it so much that Gabe thinks he's in scouts, too!
Here comes Santa Claus!
I love that when Santa talked to the boys he held their hands and didn't rush at all. He asked them about what they wanted for Christmas and reminded them that Christmas was mostly about giving to others and being kind to one another. Did this Santa really know my boys?
On a sidebar, Nate came home from school yesterday with a gift he had made for Gabe. He snuck it under the tree and then yelled for Gabe to come see what Santa left for him. He whispered to me, "I'm gonna tell Gabe that present is from Santa and pretend like Mommy's and Daddy's do." Gabe loved the gift! It was a picture of the two of them that he had made out of clay. I haven't had a chance to talk to Nate in private about what he told me. My little boy is growing up!
Merry Christmas...only 7 more days!
