The 2 seconds it took me to get from the kitchen to the living room seemed like hours as I was trying to figure out what he could have been painting. "What is that?" I asked Matt as I was walking towards Gabe. "It's your makeup," Matt said with a giggle. He was right! Gabe had taken the lid off of my mascara and was dipping my eye shadow brushes into the mascara and painting his face and licking the brush! Still, even after the many ornery things I've caught him doing, starting with stealing push ups out of the refrigerator when he was 11 months old, he still never fails to surprise me!

Another Gabe Moment
Saturday night started out just like most other weekend nights. Matt and I were talking in the kitchen while making dinner, Adrianna was bouncing in her seat, and the boys were playing in the living room. I have no idea what Matt and I were talking about, but it must have been good, because we didn't notice how quite suddenly got. Nate came running into the kitchen asking for a paintbrush. I said, "We're not painting right now, Nate. We're getting ready to eat dinner." "But Gabe is painting," he added. I didn't even flinch. "No, he's not, Nate. He's in the living room." "I know, and he's painting." I was curious. Was he really painting in the living room? How'd he get that past us? We were in the very next room!
The 2 seconds it took me to get from the kitchen to the living room seemed like hours as I was trying to figure out what he could have been painting. "What is that?" I asked Matt as I was walking towards Gabe. "It's your makeup," Matt said with a giggle. He was right! Still, even after the many ornery things I've caught him doing, starting with stealing push ups out of the refrigerator when he was 11 months old, he still never fails to surprise me!
